How do I determine door handing?

On some products it's important to know the handing of the lock..
Some locks are supplied handed. These can only be fitted on one side of the door so it is important you order the correct handing for your door. Furthermore some locks are only suitable for outward opening or inward opening doors.

We identify all handed locks as having Diagram 1, Diagram 2, Diagram 3 or Diagram 4 handing to help you select the correct lock.
NOTE: different lock manufacturers may refer to Left and Right handed with different meaning. Please check your door against our handing diagram to ensure you order the correct lock.
